
These things are not mutually exclusive. We can be mad at the government for being wasteful and be unhappy with the hoarding of wealth at the same time. But maybe I’m too moderate for either side where these things are concerned.
(Don’t get Colin started on the fact that no one is stepping in to stop what Zillow is doing to destroy our economy- both the wealthy and our garbage gov’t are creating a disaster for tax payers. See previous housing bubble and bailouts.)
I also don’t like all these people throwing around “freedom of speech” re: twitter as if it means you can say anything you want on the internet without consequence when it really just means that the gov’t can’t interfere with what you say, and even then it only applies if what’s said is truthful, not obscene or violent. Twitter =/= gov’t, thank the gods. EM is more than happy to block people who say things he doesn’t like.
I lean left, but both sides irritate the shit out of me most of the time. I don’t think EM is evil per se- but he’s no Warren Buffet or Bill Gates where philanthropy is concerned, and he is a straight up troll.
