Who Do You Trust?
Is it weird that I trust zefrank more than the majority of people I know in real life? Yeah. That’s probably pretty weird. But I also trust ND Tyson more than most. And Bill Nye. Maybe I just trust science more than people. That’s probably NOT so weird. People are shady. People have ulterior motives. Science just is.
Trust is complicated. It’s a hard thing to do. But I expect that life’s much harder without it. It’s something I’m working on. It’s something I’d like to add to my resume one day:
- Trusts others within reason.
- Shows up to work promptly 97.8% of the time.
- Makes people feel weird by whistling even though her face is asymmetric after a not-quite-one-hundred-percent-recovery from Bell’s Palsy.
- Notary public
- Part-time artist.
(This theoretical resume might be more effective than the traditional one I’ve been using. Perhaps I should get to work on that… #outsidethebox)
